How to Overcome…

We got it! Don’t we? We can not continue to lose our battles, and every year and thereafter, we continue with the same stuff.  How can we win?

Overcoming defeat is tough, really, but what’s tough is overcoming our way of thinking.  The reason defeat is not conquered is because we do not submit ourselves to God, in all our ways, we are to submit to him, and he will make our paths straight (Proverbs 3:6).  The mind governed by the flesh is hostile to God; it does not submit to Gods law, nor can it do so (Romans 8:7).  Well, gotta remember, James 4:7 Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Fighting our old ways of thinking is hard, but it can be done.

Are you ready?  Submission is one of the biggest troubles we have in our lives. We don’t want to pay the painful price of having to submit, and we continue to fight against ourselves.  At least we think it is against ourselves.  Could it be something or someone who is invisible?  Yes, like the demonic powers of Hades.  Really, how can you fight something or someone who is a spirit or invisible? Ephesians 6:12   states that we wrestle against authorities, powers, and darkness of this world. That is why we can’t overcome the enemy.  We are fighting spiritual powers, that you can not touch or see. Then, if you don’t believe nor understand that they are around us, then they are eating your lunch.  The spiritual realm, also known as the Realm of the Dead or  Hades is all around us.

The enemy is invisible… He is a spirit who does not eat nor sleeps.  He has infinite time to hunt and harass you. Doesn’t this upset you, that you are his target and including your family and friends? Throughout time, since the fall of Lucifer from the heavens, his goal is to hunt you down like a dog. Just stop and think about it… you are searching for answers and you read everything you can find, yet, you are still defeated. Does this sound like familiar? Remember, the devil comes to kill, steal, and destroy… John 10:10, but Jesus came so we can have life and live it more abundantly.

I’m gonna tell you how it is.  There are no magic tricks and no overnight pills to take, and it just doesn’t happen.  You have to come to a point, whereas, you are just tired of been tired. Are you ready to listen and not just be reading?  All this knowledge is great, but if you don’t take action, then it’s of no use to you. Remember, there are no easy solutions, it’s like being in boot camp, which you can’t ignore. A boot camp where it’s only you present. You are all alone in this, yet, you can still get support from your family and friends, but,  then again, it’s all up to you to overcome.  Here, are some points, which I’m giving you. And again, you’ve heard it before, and you will hear it again because this is what will strengthen you to overcome the enemy. As a child of God… and IF  YOUR NOT, then repent and accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior. Find a local church and become faithful to it. If you live in my area, your welcome to join us.

1.  You have the authority!    Luke 10:19 You have the authority to trample on snakes and scorpions (enemies) and to overcome the voices of your foes (enemies), negative friends, and relatives. They will not harm you because you know who you are and nobody can tell you otherwise! Resist those voices in your head – stop sabotaging yourself – don’t be your own worst enemy.

2. You are a child of God and you can overcome them (enemy) because the one (God) who lives in you is greater than the one (Satan) who is in the world. 1 John 4:4

3.  You got the VICTORY – You can overcome the world through faith. 1 John 5:4

4.  Read and study the Scripture, the Holy Bible – This is your weapon! 1 John 2:14 We begin to know the Father through the WORD of GOD. IF we have the word of God, which lives in us, then we have overcome the evil one, that it may go well with you that you may enjoy good health.

5. Stay alert mentally – 1 Peter 4:7  Be aware of the thoughts that come and go in your mind; stopping you from praying.  Distractions are the number one thoughts, that just drop into your mind, while you are praying or studying the bible. Never give place to the devil    Ephesians 4:27  If you know something is going to make you fail – Stop!  Don’t do it.  Resist the Devil and he shall flee James 4:7  Fight it!

6.  Renew yourself in the knowledge and image of our Creator by renewing the way you think and behave- Be Christ-like.  Colossians 3:10 This takes practice to renew the way we think from negative to positive.

Now, yeah, I’m gonna refer you to scripture because it is Life!  Jesus said I am the way, and the truth, and Life. No one comes to the Father except through me. John 14:6 therefore, repent from your old ways, your old habits, and renew the way you think. Get rid of the garbage thinking that you are just a loser. No, your not. You just have to focus and fight your way through all that garbage that stops you… it may be piles of garbage, but you can move it out of the way. You can do it.

When your feeling defeated there are some things you can do to feel better and stronger:  * Put on some Christian music, *Sing unto the Lord, *Pray in the spirit,  *Read inspirational bible verses, *Talk to a close friend,  *Call your sisters in the Lord for encouragement, and yes, you can do it! You can also go walking, go to the park, get out and surround yourself with inspiration. Come on, aren’t you tired of the same old thing?  It’s time to rise up in the power of the Holy Spirit, it’s time to rise up in Faith, it’s time to call upon the Lord and He shall deliver you.  Let’s move mountains with believing and trusting God… have Faith in God!  It will take a fight to overcome any negativity because you have been programmed throughout time to think in a defeated manner; don’t open up to the enemy. They have been dumping on you for a very long time. That’s it… do your best to resist the devil and renew yourself in the spirit with Father God.  Allow the Holy Spirit to help you through this. You got it!

Let’s pray – Father, God, Yahweh, we come to you in the name of Jesus.  We lift our voices unto you to give you all the glory and praise for you are worthy.   Father, we ask for strength into our minds, spirit, and soul.  We ask for your help to fight the negative influence the enemy has over us. We claim Matthew 16:19 therefore, we bind the enemy from our lives and he shall be bound in the heavens.  He is bound from projecting evil negative thoughts into our minds, and our hearts.  He will have no power over us.  And I loosen the blessings of our Lord, Jesus Christ, whereas, He is our High Priest and His intercessory prayers over us shall move mountains. We receive all the promises of our heavenly Father through the blood of the Lamb, Jesus our Lord and Savior – and our High Priest after the order of  Melchizedek. Amen!
